Anyone able to post here a picture of a 12″ Helix on the bow of a Caracal, Puma, or Cougar? I would assume that it would be mounted on a Balzout Mount or a Large Ram mount. Any comments on that setup would also be appreciated. Thanks.

Here is a Helix 10 on a RAM mount

I currently run a SOLIX 15 on a TH Marine KONG.

When ever I mount any graph on the bow area I install a metal plate under the fiberglass to add support.

Here is my experience with large graphs on the bow. You want the ability to fold them down when running in any type of rough water. A wave over the bow will rip one right off.

It happened to my Solix 15 on Champlain this year. Luckily it just fell off the mount and on the deck. Was able to unhook it, finish the run, then get to my first spot and secure it with bungees and zip ties so I could still use it the rest of the day.

Im working a video that will cover how to install a Mini Kong and Helix 10 at the bow. It will be on my youtube channel. Should be complete in a week or two at the most.

Here is a picture of dual Helix 10’s on the bow of my Cougar using the Bass Boat Technologies mount (they come in single or dual mount). I too would recommend using a backing plate (it comes with it). I did have to cut an access hole under the trolling motor pedal to install.
