Looking for a Cougar below 20k. Needs to be new enough to have the back deck storage which I think is around 2000. Prefer a 250hp, but not an absolute.

Double check, but I don’t recall the Cougar with rear storage. I believe in place of rear storage there is undersea storage instead. The Puma will have rear storage which is the same hull as the Cougar.

I’m sure someone around here knows exact answer, but I think I noticed a 2004 did not have storage. I also believe I saw a 2008 with the storage and the triangle livewells. Maybe the storage came with the livewell shape design. And it might be later than what I thought. If it was 2008, then my 20k cap just flew out the window.

I’ve seen a couple of Pumas on Craigslist in Missouri and Arkansas a bit above your range but good looking boats. Both have rear storage one has a 250 but is listed for $25000

I will see if I can find them. I would go to 25 if it had enough extras that I didn’t have to add anything to it.

Ok, so its been confirmed 2007 is first year for Cougar to get the storage in back deck. This rules out the under 20 I was hoping for so if anybody has any Cougar less than 20k, send me the details please.

Thanks for the heads up. He’s done some customizing that hasn’t necessarily added value, but quite the opposite.

There’s a 2002 Cougar on St. Louis Missouri Craigslist for $15,000. Though not sure what kind of shape it’s in

Not sure which boat you are referring too. For some reason thet haveva short shelf life in my possession. Lol. But I’m boatless right now so I guess the answer to your question is no. I sold it.

There’s a nice 2002 Cougar with a 250 Mercury and twin PPs for $18,500 on the Dallas/Ft Worth Craigslist
