The stage is set! The marathon begins!
Tonight the 7 teams all met for dinner and the details for this weeks Bass Cat Regional Championship, presented by Mercury, were presented.
Practice will begin any time and end in the evening at Sunset. All boats must be off the water by sunset time tomorrow. They are allowed to practice any of three reservoirs, or all. Those being Lakes Norfork, Bull Shoals and Crown (Horseshoe Bend). They are off limits on the other reservoirs of Thunderbird and Sequoyah, in Cherokee Village. Those will be surprise reservoirs.
Monday morning at safe light they will begin on Crown Lake, weighing in at Box Hound Marina at 11:00 AM. They will then proceed in a caravan to Cherokee Village and launch at Thunderbird, a private lake inside the Village, which has Lake Sequoyah connected to it through a canal. Lake Thunderbird is 264 acres and Crown is 645 acres and both are 30 MPH speed limit rated. Sequoyah, which is connected to Thunderbird, is 75 acres and idle only as is the canal between these bodies.
Limit for each weigh in will be five fish, with 12″ on Crown and 15″ on Thunderbird & Sequoyah. Crown also has some very large Florida strain bass in it. The weigh in at Thunderbird will be 5:00 PM at the ramp.
Tuesday will bring the anglers to the main Pigeon Creek launching ramp, where they will launch at safe light or 6:30 AM. That session 3 event will end at 10:00 AM and the weigh in will commence. From there they caravan to Bull Shoals and BSLBD for session 4, with a launch at 11:00 AM and subsequent weigh in at 5:00 PM on the main dock. Presentations will be made at the main dock following the weigh in. Limits for both Norfork and Bull Shoals will be 12″ Kentucky or Spotted Bass and 15″ for Smallmouth and Largemouth.
Over the two days the teams will be capable of 20 fish, 4 limits and the poundage on each reservoir will total the weight for the event.
We would like to that the Cherokee Village SID for their cooperation. http://www.CVSID.org

Final results and winning team!
They endured a very brutal afternoon at just above freezing and cooling temps all through the day. All 7 teams were great to work with and we had a really good event. The cool part was how tight they all became through this experience. Swapping stories, phone numbers, lake information and offering help at home happened. They were all extremely courteous to each other.
