I have a 99 P3 that the seat pedestal pole is stuck in the rear deck. It’s a wobbly loose fit but the pole won’t come out. I noticed when I put the pole in it has a slight ridge at the bottom – apparently that is what is hung up? How do I get this thing out?

Be careful using lubricants as they will eat the carpeting and glue. It’s hard when one is stuck from a lack of use and removal. Strap wrenches and twisting, then last resort is a pipe wrench twisting upwards. After that it gets ugly with cutting off the pin and drilling. Lots of heat and a new bushing required.

Great information! Thank you.

In this case it is not stuck from lack of use – in fact it is quite wobbly from a lot of use. I believe it is the ridge on the bottom of the pole hanging up on the bushing somehow. I wiggled it back and forth while pulling up but have not tried rotating it while pulling up as you recommended above. I will try that once I get back to the lake where I keep it.

I recently had the same problem, I took 2 pry bars, slid then under the post, put a 2×4 under the pry bars for a fulcrum point and pushed down on the pry bars, worked, no problem, popped up. After removal inspect, clean the 3/4 inch pin, may correct the problem. I had another issue with the rear, I had ordered a power pole folding seat for the rear, but BCB does not supply one. I bought one at Bass Pro, same brand, again a problem the front power pole is 1.5 inch dia. while the rear that I bought is 1.77 inch diameter and the inside slid over the white bushing, had to pry it out, I then switched brands for the rear to Springfield and it had a cover on the bottom which will not allow the post to get stuck on the bushing. Why they do not make a 1.5 inch dia. power post for the rear folding seat IS NUTS. Just my 2 cents
