Ok, so I have an issue. When I switch on my navigation lights on the A10 I get a buzzing sound from the A10. Anchor lights no buzz. The lights do turn on by the way. Also, the manual bilge will work, but for some odd reason the big motor fuel pump will start running. Darnedest thing I have ever encountered. I acquired a new A10, however both situations still occur so the A10 is still good.

Ive been told to check the terminal block in the bilge back wall where all the wiring is connected. What do I need to look for or am I even in the rift place.

Terminal Block is usually located on the transom on the inside. Your problem sure sounds like a ground problem to me. Had an issue years ago with a boat that would turn on the aerator when i beeped the horn. Turned out that the ground wire to the motor under the cowl was not a good clean connection.

It could be the ground backfeeding on th line. Though we think it’s a relay failing inside the unit. You could replace th relay by a good electronic shop that can weld on the circuit board.

Relay in which unit? Are you talking about the A10 or something else?

This isn’t exactly the same but I just had a similar issue. I replaced my trolling motor and electronics. When I turned on the navigation lights I had a buzzing noise and then the main breaker tripped. Happen only with the nav lights. The anchor lights wouldn’t trip. I had squeezed the two wires to the bow light with the backer plate when I installed then new troller. All this to ask, have you done any new installs or work recently? If not, sorry to bother.

If you have an A10 unit, then yes. That is the relay in the A10. This boat had a BP 100 originally and those were good units. Most issues were related to bad grounds.

Yes I have A10. Just replaced it with Another and had same iss ue. Yes had some work done in livewell and bilge pumps. Time to start checking all the wiring and the terminal on the transom. Fun times.

All the little things ya have to do to older boat is aggravating my wife so much that it’s almost time for an upgrade.
