I have a 2008 Pantera Classic. It came with one breaker

on the positive cable going to the trolling motor, and also

a breaker on the crossover cable for 24 Volts.

Is that breaker on the crossover necessary?

According to my trolling motor tech, you only need the

one on the positive cable going to the trolling motor.

If installing a MinnKota Ultrex they recommend getting rid of the 50 amp breakers and going with a single 60 amp circuit breaker..t.his is what Jones Trolling Motor service suggested to me (he is an authorized Minn kota dealer/service center) and a BCB owner.

That is true on the main breaker feed line.
