Porous Fuel Cells

I’ve been noticing a gradual increase in the amount of fuel oder in the last year coming up through the two side lockers. The smell would be noticeable when the lockers would be opened up after they were closed for a few days.

It makes sense that the fuel smell is traveling from the center tank between the hull and tub section.

My question is about the fuel cells.

Is there any treatment for the plastic to reduce the porous effects of the fuel cells?

Not externally we know of, though we are sure it’s possible. We would also check for low spots in the vent lines which hold fuel and allow some permeation.

Have you pull the seat pan and inspected the tank? Ive read in the past about some of the seat hold down screws being a little long. I would pull the pan and inspect to top of the pan for leaks just as a safety precaution
