I don’t post often but thought some of you guys with older cats may find interesting.
I had to replace my front graph (Helix 7 G1) and Bass Pro Shops has the Garmin 93sv units on clearance. I had a Helix 10 G1 at the helm and my Helix 7 would not network to it. I was left with either spending $1,000 on a new Helix or buying all new units. I choose to switch for the price and the newer technology. I had planned on switching to dual Helix 9s at some point due to the console layout. I have the older style console which will not hold a larger graph. I found that Sherm’s has a dual graph mount for my style of console but after doing measuring and looking I figured I could make something.
Sorry long winded and here is how my setup turned out.
So to make the console attachment on the left I moved my tach to the center hole. This also allows me to still see it. I don’t use the speedo so that didn’t bother me. The plate on the right was made a few years ago when I took out the old tiny depth finder. Now I cannot figure out how to get that Ram Mount ball off, I mean it is stuck on there!
