I’m having a heck of a time removing the steering wheel from my 2012 Cougar. I’ve soaked it with Blaster, I’ve tried several pullers, I’ve tried the stand behind/hit center with socket trick.
any other ideas before it gets cut off?
I used a puller. While having a lot of tension on it, I hit the center shaft of the puller with a hammer. It popped off. Otherwise it wasnt budging.

Keep the nut threaded on the last inch of the bolt. When you start hammering it, it will prevent the threads from getting botched.
