Hello everyone. I just wanted take the time to say how proud I am to own my first Bass Cat boat! I bought this awesome 2018 Cougar FTD from Britt Myers a few days ago. This boat is everything that anyone could ever expect of a premium bass-catching machine!!
Britt is an absolutely awesome dude, and I am proud to be able to call him a friend. Britt is a very busy guy, but he extended the opportunity to fish with him at his home lake, as well as fish with me in my area. He could have just sold me the boat and moved one, but he didn’t. I’m looking forward to learning some new tricks from him!
Be safe,
Jody

Bass Cat Nation,
I want to take time to Thank Bass Cat Pro Staff member Jamey Caldwell. We have known each others for years. I have fished out of several of his rigs over the years, Puma FTD, Eyra, and a couple of his Cougars. Jamey’s professionalism, expertise, experience, and vast knowledge finally converted me. I will be taking possession of his 2020 Bass Cat Cougar FTD this Fall, and what a rig.
First off I have owned 9 Rangers, 2 Skeeters, one Triton, and one Sprint. But with the trends in the bass boat market and through out America, I was in search of a new beginning. Working hard like so many Americans I was attracted to the Bass Cat family through Jamey’s steadfast example and the outstanding values Bass Cat’s culture stand for and their customer service and support.
Jamey allowed me to lake test his boat and fish out of it for a day. The night before he went over every detail of the boat and gave me driving instructions, what to expect, different techniques and procedures for wake, rough water, winds, jack plate and trim settings. I received great instructions on his Humminbird electronics, and Talons as well. I went out fished, caught fish with so much room up front being closer to the action based on the trolling motor foot pedal that provides so much efficiency in presenting different baits and techniques.
The Drive: Incredible. In not time I was negotiating rough water that day, wake, and with live wells full and 3/4 of fuel in each tank I hit 77 mph GPS and I’m a Bass Cat rookie and stable, finding that sweet spot and off we went.
His support is unprecedented, very professional, and a great example of a dedicated Bass Cat Pro Staff member.
I want to give a shout out to Dr. Terry Battiste as well. He has been a big help with answering questions and showing me great features of the Bass Cat Cougar.
Thanks Jamey.

Dr “Tater” is a good guy. Glad Jamie got you set up and tuned in on the drive and it sounds like you managed it. Be sure to respect any ride that runs this quick.

BCB
