Watched a video the other day about installing the new tour pro trolling motor from motorguide. I do have a question about the mounting, it talked about 3” and 4” mounting holes. Saying if you are upgrading to the tour pro from a x5 trolling motor that you have to use different holes. Does that mean that the holes that come from the factory will not work for that trolling motor?
May want to ask this in the comments of some of the youtube videos because basically no one has them. I think I have the owner’s manual downloaded, and it may mention this. If I find it, I will let you know.
I understand that it has the two mounting holes. My question is what is the holes drilled at from basscat? Are they the 3 or are they the 4? Will the holes from basscat work? Or will new holes have to be drilled in the fiberglass to accept the new trolling motor? Btw motorguide has said that I should have my unit shipped to me by 27th. Supposedly the holes will line up. I had one pre-ordered and paid for for almost a year, and finally gave up and bought a Lowrance Ghost when they said mid-November at the earliest.
