TMC- I ran a 24/4 fury on my two stroke caracal and it topped around 71 loaded out it really made the boat totally different. I now run a 26p bravo xs on my 2021 eyra. A 25.5 bravo xs may be the ticket for the caracal. That hull likes alot of lift and in my opinion gets the bow up and stops the boat from feeling so boggy/ draggy. I did run a 25 bravo on mine and it was on the limiter with the 250 … 70mph @6200. Be nice if you can get your hands on one to try.
Bassinman- I’m surprised to hear of the SHO not doing better on that boat… From what I’ve seen its been the better motor for that hull pre the new 4s mercury. I know alot of guys like to run a Temptest or tempest plus on that motor/ hull with good results and usually those props can be had for a good used price!
