I have a 20 Sabre’ with a 150 proxs 4stroke.
The dealer set the jackplate about 3/4″ below flush and the very best I saw via GPS was 60 with just me and a full tank. Two guys and I’m bumping 58 on a good day.
I’m seeing others running considerably better than that.
I started bumping my jackplate up and I am currently at flush and it seems to a a little slower to top speed and with two people I’m hitting 57.
The rooster tail at WOT is the same, right above the engine cowling. Water pressure is through the roof( I question its accuracy)
Everyone is telling me that these boats don’t like a lot of trim- I have to trim mine to max slowly to get speed(57-58) out of it.
Keep going up?
