I can’t speak to the new 175s, but I can tell you about how the new 150 pro xs 4 stroke performs on the classic for another reference point. With mine, hole shot is good with 2 guys and a middle of the road load. It is still acceptable with livewell full. If i am hauling 3 guys and full livewells, things get a little slower getting it up and out.
With my setup, it was a little picky about props and motor height to get it dialed in, but with a 4 blade fury and what I consider a normal tournament load, it performs surprisingly well. I can keep it on plane down to about 20 mph, and have gotten 58 mph out of it with 2 guys and half a tank of fuel. So the 175 i would imagine would be marginally better all around. I’m not entirely sure how the different gear ratio on the 175 translates compared to the 150 though. (1.85 vs 2.08).
