We sent this memo out regarding the upcoming “Excellence In Action 2022” Dealer Meeting.
We feel this is important to inform each of you on as well. It may change your plans and in today’s world personal awareness of any local areas situation should be of your higher importance.

Important Dealer Meeting update: regarding CoVid 19
By now most everyone knows that North Arkansas and Southern Missouri are severely impacted by the new Delta CoVid 19 variant. We are unfortunately in the news as the USA’s Hot Spot. Some rural counties of southern Missouri are at a 14% vaccination rate. Baxter County (Mountain Home) is the second highest one day infection reported in Arkansas yesterday. Pulaski County (Little Rock) is the highest number reported yesterday. The hospital systems in Springfield, MO have brought in outside nurses for August with this uptick, and they are transporting patients to Saint Louis due to overcrowding. The average vaccination rate is just above 30% in most counties, while Baxter is somewhat higher nearing 40%.
It is no secret that XYZ Boats closed their facility yesterday due to a VERY high number of CoVid 19 infections. They obviously are a significant part of our 97 person increase yesterday in Baxter County, as many live in Baxter County who work at XYZ Boats. They were nearing over 40% on attendance issues.
We have to inform each of you of what we are facing in north Arkansas, as we are 9 days from your presence here for Excellence In Action 2022. At this time we are re-evaluating how we navigate a meeting and while it is very late to have a major change, at least we will consider some form of open environment alterations. CoVid 19 is barely transmitted in outdoor settings and we hopefully can regroup. Worst case scenario is a last minute cancellation.
Since Baxter County is now a hot spot, as of yesterday, we do want you to be aware of what you may be coming into. Of those in the hospital locally none we know are vaccinated, and we do know of some who are vaccinated and have gotten ill. They are not as nearly as sick as those without the vaccine, by far.
If you are at all concerned we do understand and we will have the Excellence In Action 2022 presentation available virtually no matter how we adjust here in Mountain Home. ASU-MH gives us full reign of The Sheid as we will anticipate shifting to the auditorium for a more open presence during the presentation.
Please let your Regional Representative and Marti know if you are changing your plans. We will do the same on changes we make, and please pray for the Ozarks at this time as there are many in bad situations.
Thank you all,
Rick
Have a Nice Day!

I understand! Thanks for the heads up. I was planning to attend but will just put it off until next year.
That’s scary stuff and no fun locking down. That’s where we were even in upstate NY 4-5 months ago. I hope folks out there are going in droves to get their shots. I can’t imagine access is the issue with all the vaccine available. My wife and I had to travel an hour and half away because we couldn’t get in locally back in March because of demand but it was worth it. We wanted to see our grand kids again and we’d do anything to make that happen! We are pretty much back to normal now and it’s a wonderful thing. Prayers are with you folks out there. GET YOUR SHOTS!!!! They bloody work and they are the only proven way to stop the virus so far.
I was planning on a quick trip to M.H. for this event but will hold off until the “situation” improves.
I’m still planning on attending and helping out in anyway
I am planning on attending. I do desire to see what Basscat has come up with, as well as checking out the area/lake a bit. Never fished Norfolk, hope to later this year.
Any updates from BCB about this? We are still planning on attending.
Everything is sill a go since this event is outdoors.
