The old girl (2002 Jaguar) recently got a new man in her life. Her longtime beau (225 yamaha vmax 2 stroke) was replaced with a (250 yamaha sho). I am currently running a 26 P Temptest plus (fully plugged), and topping off around 73mph at 5500-5600 rpm on a manual jackplate. For informational purposes the older Jaguars are 20 footers not 22 ft like the new ones. I feel i should be get a lot more top speed than what I am getting. Am i wrong in that thought process? If not, any suggestions? I have my eye on a 25 P SHO prop, for a good price. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.
P.S. Thank you Bass Cat for making the best boats on the market (IMO). My boat is almost 20 years old, and still going strong.
