I have been researching bass boats for approx. a year now and have decided I really want to own a Bass Cat. I have been watching for quality used Bass Cats for sale and have been experiencing difficulty finding the model and specifics that I desire in my boat. I am wanting a Caracal, Pantera 2, or Sabre. I am wanting to spend less than $60k…. so a NEW Caracal is out of the picture. I also want a 4 stroke engine most preferably Yamaha.

I have decided if I can’t find what I am looking for by late March 2022… I will seriously consider ordering a new boat. Can anyone give me a realistic time frame on how long of a lead time I would want to give my order to get the boat in the spring 2023. I live in Iowa and don’t want the boat to be ready in the middle of next winter.

I have been watching for used Bass Cats on this site, Boat Trader, and Facebook (Bass Cat group)…. any other recommendations?

Bait Shack Marine in Georgia has 2 used Caracals ready to go if you want to make the drive.

Realistic time lines are a moving target today. Presently at least 6 months, and more preferably 8 months lead time on a new boat order today. Dealers were notified last week to plan on boats possibly being 2023 models for some orders placed in January. We do expect that to change over coming months. The normal time range of 8 to 16 weeks, from order to completion, are no longer realistic.

I don’t mind driving a considerable distance for the right boat. I am not seeing any used Bass Cats on the Bait Shack Marine website. I guess I will need to call them tomorrow to try to get some pictures and information.

Those boats just showed up so not posted yet but great dealer to work with. They also have an Erya w the 2 Caracals.

Bedford sales in Morris IL has a new sabre for sale, they have two and only one their page right now, I have bought the one shown on the page yesterday but they do have another one. 50k I believe.

Impactfishing.com, that’s two, I don’t remember him having much listed, but you might check!
