Two weeks ago (January 26, 2022) I totaled my Bass Cat trailer. My 2010 Pantera Classic is now sitting idle on a borrowed 25-foot striper-boat trailer until I can get a new trailer.

I’ve been searching for a tandem axle trailer that will accommodate my “baby” (that’s how I treat my Bass Cat). Available trailers do not exist. In addition, I’m told by my Bass Cat dealer that a new trailer will take up to six-months to be delivered.

My buddy would like his striper-boat trailer back before then and I do not want to miss six months of fishing. HELP!!!

Anyone been through this? Any suggestions? Does Bass Cat have “extra” trailers sitting on their property looking for a home? I’m told only my dealer can get a trailer for me, that I cannot get involved in the process. I’d be happy to drive to Arkansas (11-hours one way) to pick one up.

The factory is closed today due to inclement weather. When they reopen call for the Parts Manager and he can assist with a sitting trailer, in various forms.

They do have used trailers in different conditions and you want a Pantera II match on that hull, which will be the same trailer you presently have. the new Pantera Classic trailer is not that same hull frame and todays staff won’t have those identities lined up.

A trailer from the old model of the Classic would work too would it?

BTW – This happened to a friend of mine and insurance company wouldn’t pay for an original new trailer from BCB for his Puma. So through our local BCB dealer who worked with local trailer dealer, they had a custom trailer built. Not as nice as the original but was a solid build. He never complained about it. If all else fails, having one built local might be an option. Our dealer is CR Marine in Schenectady NY, not sure where you are.

Thanks, Brian. I hope we can find a Bass Cat trailer but I will do whatever needs to be done to get back on the water and off this striper trailer. BTW, I live in Georgia so Schenectady is about three hours farther than the Bass Cat HQ in Midway, Arkansas.

C&O Marine in Tennessee always have a bunch of new and used trailers. Ask for Jason Bragg, he worked for BCB a time and should be able to help. It might not be a BCB trailer but enough to get you by until you get what you want built. https://www.candomarine.com/
