Hole shot is not an issue with either propped properly. The question has more to do with larger or smaller bodies of water. Since you’re a shallow angler, then that would be not like the Great Lakes or Sam Rayburn. In that case we lean towards the Puma STS. The ride on the new Soft Touch hulls is really good and you should find a chance to ride in one. Hole shot in that case goes to the Puma STS by a hair. The weights are not accurate and it weighs a smidge less than the Lynx.
Plus the Puma STS is the “2022 Most Innovative Freshwater Fishing Boat” by the NMMA, presented at the 2022 NMMA Minneapolis Boat Show. Last week it was one of Boating Industry’s “Top Products” for 2022. It is getting accolades from those who now own it also. And production didn’t really hit the market till late October. And we started ramping volume more in December
The Lynx is more for larger impoundments and big water as the hull is deeper and the straighter hull surface is longer. They reach out and touch the next wave. The Lynx has a good following and we would also look at the floor plans and let those give you input also as they are quite different.
