Could impact from a crash cause top cap separation? I understand these boats are engineered to make removal difficult but is it possible. What other damage should I be looking for?
When I totaled my ’13 Puma the top cap came undone in the nose area where I hit, but I also knocked a hole in the hull. So your answer is yes, it will come loose if you hit something hard enough!
The boat was hit on starboard rear with the majority of impact on trailer fender. Didn’t hit power pole or motor. Looks like it pushed the rub rail up but can’t tell if top cap actually has any separation from hull. I know buying a boat like this comes with risk but just trying to minimize those as best I can. Thanks for any advise
This is the only stress cracks found on boat. It is in compartment in front of drivers console. Is this something to be concerned about and is it repairable?
Info pls. Did you hit something, or did someone hit your boat. If someone hit your boat, that should be an insurance claim against the other person. If it happened before you owned it, most likely not a problem or the other owner would have had a claim.

We believe he is trying to purchase this boat and the stress crack is of no concern in that area. It does show some movement caused it, though it’s not an issue in that radius area.
