Lighting Issue

The front running lights may be tied into a rocker switch on the front panel.  Both the rear and the front light base are the same so you can check  both with a working light pole to rule out the pole itself.  Then check the front to trace the wires to the rocker switch.  The base is an easy replacement if it is bad.  It is just a few rivets holding it in place.  Pulling the TM electrical panel will give you access.

On the console the switch should allow you to select NAV (both front and back) or Anchor (just back).  Make sure you select NAV when checking the front.

Also, congrats on the 97 Jag.  I had one and really liked it.  It was a great boat.

If the bulbs or connections are bad on a BP 101 dash, all power will not output to the component. You must check that the system will accept current flow as the computer dash shuts down the power flow preventing system problems.

check the bulb, connections and any grounds.

People make this system harder trying to cross over analog to digital in thought. Just think of each component as it’s own analog (wire) system, and be sure those extensions to the dash are right. Then check outputs with similar power requirements from the dash.

Just hard wire a light or pump to the dash direct if you must simplify it some.
