I had the Aurora Sunbrella Supreme on my previous Cats, but have Aqualon on my present rig. Going into year five with it. I tow with it all of the time, and, no rubbing of the gel at all. My dealer seems to think abrasion of the gel coat is more related to getting dirt under the cover around the perimeter, and the dirt abrading it, as opposed to the type of fabric. It is still completely waterproof, and the only issue is some fading of the colour. This is not an Aurora made cover, but, a custom cover by a reputable canvas maker. I would get another Auqalon on my next rig.
