Yep. It was compressed to a foam cube in the center sump to prevent the water from gushing to the front, and the tube allows water to drain. Pretty simple system, though it can come dislodged as there is water moving aggressively in the sump. NO damage done, though you can check the location of the foam cube in the sump area.

That is a piece of PVC that is taped onto a block of foam in the drain and the PVC allows water to flow through. The plastic is not supposed to be there and the PVC is not supposed to be taped. The plastic is used to vacuum the foam block for insertion and then is supposed to remove. BCB

It is something that they decided might stop the jettisoning of water to the bow through the center V drain area and then hopefully reduce the water splashing against the nose and going to the rod boxes.
