The new V-6 200 will perform about the same as the 2.5 EFI on hole shot and top end. The weight is not much more than the EFI. Were it really shines is mid range fuel economy and not having to buy 2 stroke oil.
We have a new V-6 200 on our 1997 Classic. The boat is loaded heavy with all of the stuff we carry and has a Fortrex on the front. With two people, full gas, and livewell we are able to get 67 mph. That is running the Tempest 25p that came with the boat when we bought it 3 years ago. The prop has not had any work done to it and is little on the banged up on the edges.
The picture of the Merc Monitor was my son by himself on a small lake. He ran out of room and had to shut down. The Merc Monitor is using GPS for speed.
The picture of the graph was on Kentucky Lake with 3 people during August. We went the 97 miles on about 25 gallons of fuel during a tournament.
