									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Being a certified welder on Mig and Stick as well as a welding Engineer I’m not going to debate the penetration patterns between the two types of welding or the detrimental effects on the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ).  However, I will defend my insinuation that regardless of the process used  a bad weld is a bad weld.</p>

									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Just another opinion:  It appears from the picture that the brackets are only welded on one side and that the weld shown was less than adequate.  The weld failed – because it was a bad weld.  Nothing to do with design, use or function.   Any competent weld shop can repair – just have them look at some of the other welds to ensure they are adequate.</p>
