Think of the prop pitch as the tire diameter, play with the link below based on your results and what prop you want to try then I think you’ll have a better idea. Say you’re going to put a 200hp Pro XS on a P2, would a 27” prop with the 1.85 gearing offer a better holeshot than a 25” prop with the 1.75 gearing? Those work out to the same top speed/rpm on the prop slip calculator and why I ask.

You’re welcome, yes I like the Sabre for its nimbleness. The Raker is a large diameter 3-blade like the Tempest I believe and the Etec G2 is a torque monster, so I think it’ll still create plenty of lift and not sure if a couple hundred rpms would help it make any more power or not though don’t think it’ll hurt to try it and find out as you’ll…Read more
