									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Battery has the copper washers ok but I think I may have determined the issue. Boat came with agm battery but only 600 CCA. Motor requires min 800 CCA. Called dealer but they said in so many words it was my problem and to get with battery maker.  Battery is a pro guide and they have excellent customer service. Cranking battery 31 group</p>
<p>Mercury 4 stroke</p>
<p>Yesterday had a tournament from 6-2.  Running 4 Garmin echomap charts and when fishing I disable console sonar transmit, power pole turned on but not used, and boat lights etc, all off the cranking battery.  At 1:30 the battery was dead wouldn&#8217;t crank motor. <p>We both agreed that when you order something with quote a company (mercury) shouldn&#8217;t be able to increase cost but it is what it is.   Now a 250 cost the same as a 300 when I ordered</p>

<p>other than a faster top end.</p>
<p>Is hole shot better?  mid range difference?</p>
<p>Cruising at 4000 rpm would the 300 get better gas mileage?</p>

<p>Guardian horn quit working.  It doesn&#8217;t beep when I turn the key to the on position.  I also tried over-reving engine in nuetral and still no beep, however, the smart craft gauge showed System Failure and then went back to readouts when engine went back to idle so I assume the guardian system is working.</p>
