I am trying to come up with a better rod holding mechanism than the standard velcro straps that come on the Cougar FTD. I would love to install rod buckles on my Cat but I can’t seem to find a simple way to do it without cutting into the fiberglass gunwales. Any ideas here? Any input on the ideal trim % for WOT use. I’m getting more comfortable running in the mid 70’s and am trying to figure out how much trim is ideal. I’m at about 3-3.2% right now..

I’m currently breaking in my motor with the fury 3 blade 25 that came on the engine. Getting on pad is silly fast at 50% throttle and at WOT ,fully trimmed down I’m getting 5000 rpms & 51-52mph. Thanks for the replies. I think it’s solved now, but not sure how as I didnt change anything. It could obviously be user error as this system is new to me.

Just had my 2022 Cougar FTD out to break in the motor and when I try to fill the livewell it wont keep water. The switch is on auto and the pumps are working but it will hardly get to 20% full. Any experience with this?
