I have an 08 Sabre that I added the flippin deck to. Our floorplans are virtually identical. You will find that the additional acreage on the front deck is great. It will fish like a much bigger boat. It also leaves a great space underneath for your partner to put their tackle bag out of the way. Ive suggested to people to get the deck but be aware of the downsides. There are two cons to adding the deck. 1. You will lose the functionality of the step cooler. Regardless of the access door they put on the deck – you wont use the step cooler anymore. Holding two lids up to put in ice & such is a pain in the arse. I slide a small ice chest under the deck. 2. Get ready for a big step up onto the deck. The little cooler/step will no longer be useful and youll have one heck of a step up and down. If you have young knees – not a problem. The big step can get to be a chore by the end of the day.
I love it for all the reasons already stated. But, I continue to use my ice chest every trip and the double doors dont bother me a bit. Not preferable, but I use it. I do agree the step up and down could be an issue for some. Joe
I have a 07 sabre when i took delivery of the boat it had the flippin deck in I fished with it in one season and decided to take it out to see how much different it was and to this day I have not put it back in. It does make your deck bigger but unless you fish with three people in the boat alot you will not miss it. I like to sit on the rod locker and retie baits and it is much easier to get into your center locker with it out. Just my opinion.
