Hot Foot

cable could be in a bind at the engine or elsewhere.

The cable coming from the hotfoot to the throttle lever?If so how do you get to where connects behind the lever?Sorry guys Im not real familiar with the hot foot setup.

Please dont misunderstand me, but I think you should get someone to help you that knows what they are doing, or let a shop troubleshoot and fix the throttle.

I have the same problem. Purchased my 07 in Nov. so everything is new, I tightened up the spring return so it does not do it as often, just when windy and Im docking. I figured thats the main reason for those who dislike the hotfoot-it can be a pain in the —. can you detect my sarcasm. john

ok i went to my local bass cat dealer and they told me to remove the cable and bring it to them then they can get me a new one or give them my boat for a week and at least $350 (depending on labor).i was hoping i could use the old cable to guide the new one in to place. any suggestions?

We run the cable through a grommet hole in the lower rear corner of the seat box. You can also use the top loader pedal and that cable enters from the access hole under the console. BCB does not offer the Top Loading style.

You will require a new Mercury cable, and you should get either a Premium or Platinum cable. We assume a 14 or 15, though Service would be best served to answer that one.
