New step box

Sherms posted a pic on facebook of it. been wanting a step box instead of the seat. thinking I’m glad I waited on getting it so far!

I will be getting me one as soon as BCB makes them available.

I figure about 500-600.00. Totally guessing. Just pricing it against what a single console costs. A lot of man hours to make that console.

The $500 plus ($600) is a pretty good retail estimate and a step box for previous models will require a new part tooled with new molds for replacement only. Color coordination is another challenge as that will be expensive to load up a gel gun to match your boat color. The waste gel alone will cost about $50 a part for one off colors, when factored in. If we could keep the general color on flake and get close that cost would fall.

They don’t have a plan for replacement boxes (retro) till just ahead of January.

Most likely before that though they need to complete tooling on the new Jaguar and 219 TFX and another silent project first.

BCB. On the upcoming 219 TFX, please consider going with a wider beam, moving the cockpit forward while reducing bow seating area, and horseshoe storage bins – similar to Ranger 621FS. This would help a lot on those days when salmon trolling for 6 hours with 3-4 people. Thank you.

The 219 TFX template is already set and was shown briefly in images at the meeting. Any changes are not being discussed openly prior to release.
