Wondering if anyone can offer up some advice as to the best way to mount or what type of bracket they used when mounting a Helix 10Si at the dash of their older Puma. Im replacing the old 997si that is currently in the dash, but due to the size of the new Helix, its too big to fit into the dash. Anyone else run into this ptroblem? What mount did you use? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated as I was supposed to get a custom mount built, but that doesnt look like that is happening.Thanks Mike

I have heard Sherms marina has a special mount to replace /cover the hole with mounting bracket attached to that. Or you can use 2 1/2 ram mount mounted to the side of the dash or a ballz out mount- use a metal backer on the underside of dash to help beef up the glass– keep it from flexing. The only issue with the ram is tends to fall/move when running unless you really crank it downPete

A great solution to mounting these units on the dash is a mount from Precision Sonar (precisionsonar.com) This mount will cover the existing hole and they make them for almost all units. On my 2017 Caracal I wanted a 12″ Helix at the console, so I used one of these mounts. There are pictures of the mounts on their website.I have no connection with that company and I paid retail for my mount and I am super pleased with it. Bought the optional locking knobs also. Very Similar to the Sherms mount and they shipped it quickly.
