I have a 250 mercury optimax and it has started perfectly every time the whole time I have had it. Until this past weekend that is. It started after a couple of tries, but the first time or two it would beep when I turned the key to on, and then just click once when I tried to crank it. I was wondering if my starter could be going bad or have a bad spot in it and once I bumped it a time or two hit, or could it just be that my battery was not putting out enough power? any thoughts would be much appreciated.
