Here you go. I did this in 2014, but should be fairly accurate for this model year. Here is my attempt at pointing out the differences. I have a 2008 Cougar AE. You can take the passenger console out but its not meant to be taken in & out. Its going to leave a few small holes you can cover with some rubber mat and youll need to buff out some sealing agent. I have dual 26 gallon rear tanks. The biggest difference is the layout of the top cap. Im sure the FTD had a few more standard bells and whistles. My boat was ordered fairly loaded. The FTD always has a raised full team deck. The AE has alumninum hand rails and the front deck sits deeper in the hull.
Do they both have the triangular live well lids in 08 and is that the year they started? Also when was a ladder standard equipment on the Cougars?Last edited by Steve Mosley on November 2nd, 2014, 3:06 pm, edited 1 time in total.
MAC09—See my profile pics for pics of the deck layout of a 2008 Cougar AE. Its the red and silver boat in the albums…man I miss that boat. Love my new one but part of me wishes I had kept that one too!2017 Eyra / 250 Merc Pro XS
