Hey guys had my mercury go down on me 2 weeks ago. Took it to the shop they said it was a prop shaft bearing, went to test it and later figured it was also the 6 cylinder blown. Whats the chance of both going out at the same time? 10,000 to fix both. Im thinking about getting a new motor have seen some newer mercury motors for around 15,000. My original motor is also on its 4th lower unite since 2008 something does not seem rite. I dont want to dump 10 grand in a motor thats eating up Lower units. I could use some of your opinions… thanks. Caleb.
