I just got a new to me 09 pantera classic with a 200 yamaha vmax hpdi. I took it out today, and experinced bad chine walk. It would start as soon as 60 mph if it wasnt trimmed way down plowing water, i dont think i was over trimming either. The nose cone is 3 1/2 bolow pad, with a yamaha vmax 25 pitch 3 balde prop. The most i could get out of it before it started walking was about 63-64, as soon as i started trimming up a little it would start walking. I could correct it for a little while, but as speed increased the less i could control it. Shouldnt this boat be able to run in the upper 60s-70mph without such violent chine walk? Any suggestions?
