This weekend I fished the fishers of men regionals on Ross Barnett in Jackson, MS. My 2nd day of fishing sucked! Fish never seems to cooperate for me on the 2nd day like they did on the first day. After today I really learned what a fine boat Basscat makes. Today Ross Barnett was 1 mean devil! My main area to fish was across the lake from the Madison Landing. We left at safe light this morning (boat no. 34). I am no expert on wave sizes, but if anyone want to check my sorry. They can ask the gentlemen who runs Safeway Marine. He witness how rough it was. I would say they had 4 to 5 foot waves or maybe more. Once I dialed in my P2 to the waves. The little kitty just rode acrossed. Now on the way back this afternoon was a much meaner event. The Ross was kicking up like hell. They had a 20 ft Triton in front of me that was taking a plum butt kicking. Once I was able to find my track on the waves and gps coordinate. My lil P2 did her thing again. I dial here in an she got us across safe and sound. We lost the TR-20 while going across. We had made it to the dock to where my buddy had checked in and got the truck before the TR-20 made it over. Afterward the guy in the boat (TR-20) looked in shock when I told him that my boat was only 19. He could not believe it. Oh! By the way we ran a Bullet down with a 250 Pro SX down during the practice session. He tried the lil kitty on river channel that has some nice curves and short straight aways. What he did know that the lil kitty had a 1/4 tank on the big tank and the reserve was just about empty. You all should have seen the look on that guys face!
