I have 04 Cougar and want to mount a 1197 by locating the RAM in front of the throttle, on the side of the boat, not the console itself. What size Ram is best?The 111? It seems like it would be pretty simple, with the use of a strong backing plate. Would the handrail be more “in the way”? Is the handrail stronger for the mounting than the fiberglass? (Just thinking about those long runs on Amistead, dont want it to hit my AR-15 Arm) What length RAM mount would be ideal?……..anything else one should consider?
