“A LABOR OF LOVE” — Work done for the sake of ones own enjoyment or of benefit to others rather than for material rewards…This BCB restore was sent to us from James Valfre in IL. They did an amazing job on this 1976 XL that belonged to his grandfather. James told us, “That boat was my grandfather’s best friend since before I was born. It has been in my family forever. My mom and her sisters grew up on it, now my brother and I get to share it with our kids!”This boat was in rough shape when James began the restore. The trailer, hull, and interior have been completely redone, and they did it on a budget in his garage. The final touch was to rename the boat. They chose the Laurie Lynn, after their mother who passed away 11 years ago. The sweat and tears that went into this restore were well worth it, and they made a short video of them unveiling the Laurie Lynn to their Grandfather on Lake Tomahawk in WI. Thank you for sharing your story with us James, you all did a great job bringing that cat back to life. She’s ready for a new run of memories, enjoy!!!BCBLast edited by Bass Cat Boats on January 7th, 2016, 8:10 pm, edited 1 time in total.
