What would be a good prop to run on a 1990 pantera 2 with a Mariner 150 Magnum 2 engine on it. Right now I am running a high 5 with a 22 pitch. It will run WOT 53 at 4800 Rpms. I would like to get some more speed out of it.

Alan, That rivet in the aluminum angle will allow you to gain access to the flat by pivoting the seat forwards. You should replace that with the Avdel style compression rivets that are steel shanked. BCB

Alan, I recarpeted my p2 last summer. Was a big job but sure made my old boat look better. If knocking out the old rivets on top doesnt get you enough room to work there are 2 or 3 screws in the bottom of each seat. They were put in thru the cushions and the holes are hard to see. They are also hard to get to. I used a phillips #2 with a shaft length of about 18″. It was not too bad once I realized how they were put in. It helps to have the bottom seat out first. Mike

I appreciate that mike. I will see if I can find the holes because it looks like I will need them. After 18 years the carpet in my boat looks pretty rough. Changing out the carpet makes a huge difference. A friend of mine change his out, and I couldnt believe the difference. I am also changing out the seat bases. My seats would wobble with the old bases in there. I have another question mike, on the flooring, did you have any problem with taking the trim out and then riviting it back in. Thanks

No the trim was not a big problem. Try not to bend it too much and it will look just fine when you put it back in. Get yourself a good pop rivet gun and plenty of aluminum pop rivets. In one place on mine my carpet edge was not quit same as before and I just drilled a few new holes. Also when putting trim back in if it bows out a little more than you want you can fix by just adding a couple extra holes and rivets.

The set up we used was a 22 or 23 Predator 4 blade. You could go to a 23 or 22 Trophy.
