WOW!!I purchased a BassCat Jaguar 25th Aniversary Edition last year.I still giggle every time I go near it.What an amazing ride! It turns heads everytime I take it out.Thanks!!!!!!Need some advice though:I just purchased a Minn Kota Terrova with I-Pilot.Boat is setup with 3 batteries now. (As purchased) Currently running a 36V Motorguide Tour.Minn Kota manual doesnt recommend using 3 battery setup.1) Should I change to 4 battery setup?2) Should I change onboard 3 bank charger to 4 bank, or simply add an additional charger?3) Also Minn Kota manual indicates Trolling motor deep cycle and sounders starting battery. Does this sound right to you?4) Any BassCat approved wiring diagrams you might have for recommended course of action would be appreciated.Also water pressure guage is leaking. Is this part still available from BassCat? (60PSI)Thanks in advance folks.Buck

If you are an average weekend angler and not a full time tourny fisherman the 3 battery setup should be fine as long as your starting battery is large enough (I run a 31 series Optima) and make sure that the troller and main engine share the same ground. More than likely if the previous owner ran a 3 battery setup without trouble the common ground is already done. The water pressure gauge should be available at any marine dealer.

The suggestion above are per BCB and should work excellent for most everyone who fishes other than VERY serious FLW and BASS anglers who compete multiple days. BCB

Thanks for the quick reply.Will check the common ground to verify setup.Now……..Can anyone tell me how to get the HUGE Basscat Grin off my face whenever I think about the Jaguar? Buck

Buck, sorry, you will not be able to get that grin off your face!I purchased a 2000 Jaguar back in 2005. Ive had it for seven years now and its been great. Every now and then I think Id like a new BCB, but when I go out to the building to get my boat ready for the next fishing day, I think “nope”. It still looks and runs like a new one.Congratulations on your boat purchase Buck. Id bet youll always be happy with it.On the three battery set-up…..I have that as well and have never had a problem with it. Granted, I dont run the biggest electronics I could get…..but with average electronics and a 36V trolling motor, Ive never run out of juice…..and thats on long practice days and tournament days for BFLs and Weekend Series events. I did purchase a good cranking battery (31 Optima) and I run 31 series Delco Voyagers for my two trolling motor only batteries and have not had a problem…..as long as I have good, clean connections. If you get alittle corrosion on the battery connection, when you crank your big motor, you might lower the voltage to the electronics and theyll cut off……buy a good cranking battery and keep it clean and that will not happen.
