Here are a couple of before and after pics of my recent seat upgrade to my 98 Jaguar. I think the “new to me” bucket seats look awesome, and I couldnt be more pleased. Big thanks to Benny Green (benny_jg) for selling them to me and doing a great job shipping them, and to Richard Bates (rllb8s on BBC) for his willingness to give me some pointers from his experience upgrading his old 2000 Jaguar. Good job, I did my 02 Jag and it was a tremendous upgrade, for one thing youll stick in the seat better in rough water.

details on how you did it. I have a 98 sabre and will want to do it someday. Picture of the seats open also please. You did a great job!! My current bench looks similar but only pulls up in 2 pieces. yours looks like it was a 3 piece design.

ctford -I have a photobucket folder I will share with you once I get a pic with the seats open. The buckets are a little off center with the compartments underneath. Richard Bates chose to center them and then have a narrower middle step box made, but I need the middle seat because of the number of people I will frequently have in the boat. Ill try to remember to take some pics this weekend when I will have the boat again. Thanks.

My seats are on order for my 01 P3, only I went with the step box instead. I hope mine comes out as well as yours.

Thanks. One thing I wasnt expecting to have to do was remove the chrome bar under the seat, but the bucket seat over it just didnt have enough room to open with it there. It wasnt a problem – just hadnt thought of it. I do want to fill the holes but did not have enough time last weekend. I hadnt even cleaned the dirt off where the posts were when I took the pictures. ctford – you need to view the seat conversion post today by wjh. He converted a 5-piece bench seat to buckets. Its a lot more work and he did a great job. Youll have to decide if you want to go to that much trouble though. I will still share my folder with you once I have pics with the seats up.

I saw it. You both did great jobs. My seats are still in perfect shape, not a single tear, so I will hold off for the time being. I just think the bucket seats make your boat look 10 years newer.
