(1) I have a 2006 P4, the last 2 times I took the boat out the running lights on the trailer didnt come on, the blinkers, brake lights and reverse lights are good.Both times I had to replace the 20amp fuse under the hood of my Ford F-150 for the trailer running lights.Once I replace the fuse all running lights come on fine…(2) The fuel gauge shows “empty” or near it, when I fill up to “full” it only takes about 17 gallons.Just need some ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue.thanks.

#1. You will need to find the short or bad ground on the truck/trailer or carry alot of fuses. I would bet on the truck having an issue.#2. Which tank ? Underseat ? The sending unit is under the drivers seat on top of the tank, you may have an issue with the float, a loose wire, or have tank selector switch on dash in wrong position ?A bit more information please, or you can always call service at BCB and talk to a real person ! 870-481-5135

I have a 2010 F150. On several occasions I have blown the fuse for the trailer taillights when trying to plug-in in the dark. If you get off target and touch the ground terminal on the trailer plug to the taillight terminal on the truck it will blow the fuse. Drove me crazy trying to figure out what was blowing the fuses. Apparently the truck and trailer are grounding through the ball and that causes the short.

We suspect the clearance lights are twisted and grounding out blowing fuses through a wire rubbing.
