200 optimax alarm

I have a 2012 PII with a 200 optimax i purchased used about a month ago. I noticed yesterday that when i would turn the key to the on position i would get 6 beeps following the usual single beep. It only happened about once or twice an i had no signs that anything was wrong. I also have all the diagnostics from each yearly service and the last one was in December.

Grounds can really effect signals and give false indications. Still we would have it verified as there should be we think three beeps per sequence.

Have you drained the water separator and changed the fuel filter?

Thanks for the replies. I need to check for water. The filter was changed about a month ago. It never gave any alarms while the motor was running. It was just when i turned the key to on. Im going to have a mercury mechanic check everything ove again just to be sure. Figured i would ask the board first to get some input.
