From my understanding, the EFI is a solid motor but does not get the fuel mileage of a Optimax. I have a 2001 2.5L EFI on my Pantera III and other than using more fuel , I think it is very reliable. The 3.0 L , I believe will get you out of the hole quicker. I can run about 68-69 GPS w/ 2 people.
