What a great upgrade to my Cat. Looks better than I ever thought it would. The change over took about 3 hours and was not difficult at all. I still ran into some fitting problems with the center seat cushion fitting properly, but I will call BCB Monday and sure they will be able to get me one that fits properly for my boat. I took ton of pictures to help anyone out who is planning on doing this upgrade. Here are my old seats, which are for sale by the way and will post an add in a bit. Nothing wrong with them except on small rub on top of the center seat backrest which happened when I was taking it off (really irritating). just wanted to move to the buckets. This is how you get out the screws in the bottom of the old bench seats. You just find the holes/slits where the screws were originally put in and feel around with the screwdriver till you locate it then just unscrew it. Here is the same thing with the driver side back rest. Old seats are off and now time to clean up. My boat looked brand new when I cleaned it up but some boats might have some discoloration or scratches where the old seats were. BCB does provide items that help cover up some areas if needed. Here is a picture of then new center seat backrest. I like this one much better then the old one. It is very solid and when folded over it will actually hold up your weight when stepped on. I did have some problems with the seat cushion which I will show you later. Heres the finished product. Really looks great. Another picture of the final look. Again, I love it. Here is the problem I ran into. My center seat cushions sides are not deep enough to cover the cooler lips and still rest on the seat base. Here is another angle that shows the buckets and the needed lip that would allow the seat to rest properly. Not only does BCBs need to add a lip to the sides to seat properly, I will need to have about an inch of foam removed so the backrest can fold down properly. Any thoughts from Bass Cat Boats on this problem? I will be calling Monday to see what can be done and I have absolute confidence that it will be fixed. Well, that is it. the seats are great and really glad that I have them. The best upgrade I have made so far and thanks to my fantastic wife for the best 40th B-day surprise I could ever have. If you have any questions at all with a bucket seat upgrade dont hesitate to get in touch with me.Last edited by TexCaboCat on April 1st, 2009, 6:19 pm, edited 2 times in total.God Bless, Stephen

Looks great. Ive been debating the same upgrade on my 01 Classic.. Havent decided if Im going to keep it or move up to a 20fter. Love the boat hard decision for me. I may be interested in your old seats. Please e-mail me at Bigal74848@yahoo.com with info. Also noticed that you have a grab handle under passenger seat – Did that come with it or did you add it. Thanks and it looks great. BigAl

BigAl The seat upgrade it a must have if you are going to keep the boat and might even be worth it if you are going to sell the boat, too. It would defiantly make it easier to sell if anything. The grab bar came with the boat. I will email you the details of the seat right now. The seats look great. Ive considered this same upgrade on my 2002 classic. We have the same color topcap, so this really gives me a good idea about what to expect. I see that there is a gap left on the outside of the seats. Is that gap the same size on the drivers and passengers sides. Again, looks great, and Im sure youll get your minor issues resolved quickly. Good job. KentKent Charles 2002 Pantera Classic & 200 Yamaha VMax
Kent, It is a great upgrade and you would not believe how much more support these seats give you. Just having the higher backs make a huge difference, not to mention the lateral support you get with them. Yes, the gap on the outside of the seats are the same on each side. .Last edited by TexCaboCat on March 30th, 2009, 5:48 pm, edited 1 time in total.God Bless, Stephen
OK, thanks. Definitely looks great, and that is on my wish list for future upgrades. Thanks for all the pictures. KentKent Charles 2002 Pantera Classic & 200 Yamaha VMax
