I have a 6″ slidemaster jackplate, 25P Fury and a 4 Blade 25P turning point. Engine height is 4 1/8 inchs below pad. With equal loads (2 guys, light tackle, wells half full, half tanks of gas) I get: Fury – 68.8mph , 5,500rpm. Whole shot is 2 seconds, all rpm feels responsive but man it gets loose. Chimes pretty bad. The roaster tail is about or maybe a but under the high of the engine. 4 Blade – 70.1 mph , 5,480rpm. Whole shot is 1 second, rpm feels good but not as responsive as the Fury. Chimes a little but feel a lot more stable and easier to drive. Roaster tail is the same. I had this boat out in December and it ran 74.1mph with the same setup and the 4 blade. Guessing the cold air and light load really helped, wow. Some of my question are:Anyone have the same or similar setup? If so what are your numbers ?What should my engine height be ? What PSI should I be running on this Opti once I start to play? Should I even mess with it ? 70mph is a nice round number ! Thanks in advance !UPDATE:Raised the engine to 3.5″ below pad with the Fury 25P on it and had same hole shot and performance (68mph) and lost the chimewalk. Issue is I lost PSI at 8 trim. It will drop to 9PSI at full trim. I really feel this Fury is NOT the prop for speed on this boat and thinking maybe a 26P tempest is next on my list. Thoughts?
