Hey guys, I just bought a 2005 classic, and its got a built in February 2005 vmax hpdi that is rated from 4500-5500 rpm range. The rev limiter is set at 6150rpm, with a 25 pitch Yamaha prop it turns 6000rpm as of yesterday in 91 degree heat high humidity. I just recently had a built in 2007 vmax hpdi series 2 on a 2009 classic, that had a operating range from 5000-6000 rpm with the limiter at 6150 rpm. that also turned 6000 rpm with the same prop. So, im not sure if I should stick to the 5500 rpm limit or should I prop it to turn closer to 6000?
