2006 Puma Prop Question

I have been researching props so much that I believe I have confused myself!

I have a 2006 Puma with a Merc 250XS, I understand that this boat will run in mid to upper 70s but I have no desire to do this at this time. The boat currently has a 24 pitch Tempest prop that I have run up to 68 mph at 6000 RPMs, I am sure someone could drive it better then me but again I have no interest in speed. What I am looking for is keeping boat on plane at lower speeds, better handling in rough water and a quick holeshot.

I believe I want to run a four blade prop but am unsure on which one would be best and what pitch.

Any help would be much appreciated ….. Thanks in advance

I have a 2008 Puma with 250XS running a 26″ 4 blade Trophy. Does very well on everything except loading on trailer. Highest speed has been 75 which is plenty for me. Running Bob’s hydraulic plate.

I have a 2017 Cougar with a Merc 250 pro xs and have run a 25 Fury 4 for the last 3 years. Hole shot and mid range acceleration is great. With me and all my crap it will stay on plane at 22 MPH.
