2007 Pantera Rod Storage help

I have a 2008 Classic. It came with rod storage tubes in left compartment. I copied their pattern, mirror image, and made some for right box with only 6 tubes and same hole pattern for butts. Used 1/4 plywood covered with carpet and golf club tubes in front and rubber grommets for back holes. Front part uses 2 pieces of plywood separated by a 1.5″ wide wood strip. This allows you to offset the front one so tubes angle to inside and I fastened in place using this strip. I checked using a tape measure to see how much rod I could shove up the tubes , dont remember the exact number but but 7 is getting close.your boat will be diff if you have the longer Pantera. This allows me to carry 15 rods which meets my needs so far. Good luck.

Just use Rod Socks. Looks nice to have 10-12 lined up in a rod rack. Can hold way more without though. My brother and I took my 1996 Eyra to Lake Falcon in 2013. The boat is 17-10 in length with one full size port locker. I took the rod tube out of my p2. I dnt really care for them either. If you do remove the tubes. I cut the screws leaving only 3/16 of the sheet metal thread. Used a dab of silicone and put the screws back in the same holes. It will leak water in the rod box if you dnt do something of sort.
